The Aqua Nova NSF-MAXBIO-200L is an aerobic air-driven sponge filter with a double chamber and biological material (usually ceramic media) inside, designed for powerful biological and mechanical filtration in aquariums up to approximately 200 liters.
The filter works with an air pump that draws water through the sponge and biological material.
Thus: it retains particles (mechanical filtration), hosts bacteria (biological filtration), adds oxygen to the water.
