It is an SPS coral (Small Polyp Stony coral) with a very hard calcium skeleton.
It has a characteristic dendritic shape (like a small branch), with thin arms that grow upwards and outwards.
Its polyps are small and come out during the day to capture microscopic phytoplankton and dissolved organics.
Colors: can appear in blue, green, purple or brown shades, depending on the lighting and nutrients in the water.
Nutrition:
It lives mainly from symbiotic zooxanthellae (photosynthesis)
It additionally benefits from zooplankton (Rotifers, Reef Roids, Phytoplankton)
Constant Ca/KH/Mg levels are absolutely essential for growth
Difficulty:
It is one of the most demanding SPS corals
It wants stability, no fluctuations in temperature, nutrients or salinity
