Heros Severum Gold 2-3cm

Heros Severum Gold is a striking variety of Severum with a characteristic golden yellow coloration. It is a social fish with a strong personality. Although considered one of the calmest cichlids, it can become territorial, especially during the breeding season. Due to its final size, it needs a spacious aquarium with good biological filtration and stable water parameters. It prefers aquariums with roots, rocks and plenty of open space for swimming. Plants can be used, but it is likely to move them or nibble on them. It is ideally kept in a pair or in a properly selected group, while fish of similar size and mild character are preferred as housemates. It is not recommended to cohabit with very small fish, as they may be considered food.
It is omnivorous and needs a quality and balanced diet, based on high-quality pellets or flakes for cichlids, with a supplement of plant food and occasional frozen or live foods.  ...More
