The Twospot Bristletooth or Twospot Surgeonfish, Ctenochaetus binotatus, is a marine fish in the family Acanthuridae, which includes the surgeonfish and tangs. Ctenochaetus binotatus has an oval, laterally compressed body with a predominantly brown color. It has light spots on its head and thorax, while horizontal lines are visible along its sides. Its eyes are blue, and there are two characteristic dark spots: one at the base of the soft part of the dorsal fin and one at the back of the anal fin. Its tail is crescent-shaped. This species is widely found in the Indo-Pacific, from the coast of East Africa to the Tuamotu and Mangareva Islands, and from southern Japan to New South Wales. Diet & Behavior:
The Ctenochaetus binotatus is a herbivore, feeding primarily on surface algae and organic debris. It uses its specialized teeth to scrape algae and organic matter from rocks and stones. It is often observed alone and is generally peaceful, although it may exhibit territorial behavior towards conspecific or similar fish.

Minimum aquarium size: At least 265 liters (70 gallons) is recommended.
