Zebrasoma Flavescens M
Its vibrant yellow color and constant movement make it one of the most striking fish in a saltwater aquarium. It is an active grazer, spending much of the day foraging for algae on the rockwork. It also possesses a sharp spine at the base of its tail—a characteristic of surgeonfish—so care should be taken when handling it. It is energetic, semi-aggressive, and quite territorial, especially towards other similarly shaped tangs. Primarily herbivorous, it feeds on algae and requires daily feedings of foods such as Nori, Spirulina, and other plant-based preparations.
