We suggest a mattress height of about 2 cm. In the DSB at least 8-10 cm. Due to the low grain size, the accumulation of Detrius in the soil is largely avoided.
The sand must be rinsed several times before using it in the aquarium. Existing dust content, which is always caused by friction during transport, etc., must be flushed to a large extent. Rinse the sand for this purpose until the water is no longer milky / white and largely clear.
