Puntius denisonii (often known as Denison barb, Red Line Torpedo Barb or in Greek Βαρμ Δνένισονι) is a striking freshwater fish, native to the rivers of southwestern India. It is particularly popular with aquarists due to its intense and characteristic appearance.
It is an elongated, spindle-shaped fish, with a striking red horizontal stripe that extends from the nose to about the middle of the body. Above this red stripe there is a black stripe that reaches the tail. The body has a metallic silver-gold hue. Often the tail bears yellow and black colors and looks like it has "flames" at its tips.

It is active and needs a large aquarium (at least 200 liters).
