Stoffels Bacopa monnieri
Bacopa monnieri is one of the most well-known and hardy aquarium plants (also known as Brahmi in its medicinal use). It belongs to the Plantaginaceae family and is particularly widespread because it adapts easily and to low requirements.
Care tips:
A very good choice for beginners due to its hardiness.
If planted in clusters and pruned frequently, it forms a nice, bushy form.
It is easily propagated by cuttings (cutting a shoot and replanting).
Due to its slow growth, it does not compete strongly with algae, so in excessive light they may appear on it.

Appearance: It has thick, fleshy, light green leaves, almost round to oval.
Height: 10–30 cm.
Growth rate: Slow to moderate.
Position: Usually planted in the middle or back of the aquarium.
Special: It can also be grown emersed (out of water, in wet substrates), where it blooms with small white or light blue flowers.
Aquarium conditions:
Temperature: 22–28 °C
pH: 6.5 – 7.5 (tolerant of slightly more extreme values)
GH (hardness): 2–15 dGH
Lighting: Low to moderate (does not require strong lighting, but grows more densely with more light).
CO2: Not necessary, but helps in faster and more vigorous growth.
Nutrients: Resistant even without enriched substrate. If fertilization is added, it grows faster and stays greener.
