Stoffels Eleocharis Parvula In Vitro
Eleocharis parvula (also known as Dwarf Hairgrass) is one of the most popular plants for creating a "carpet" at the front of the aquarium, especially when available in in vitro form, where it comes free of snails, algae and parasites.
Form: Very thin, green, grass-like leaves 3–10 cm tall.
Growth: Each plant develops stolons (side branches) that spread horizontally, creating a dense carpet.
Growth rate: Moderate to fast if given the right conditions.
Use: Mainly in the front or middle level of the aquarium for a natural "carpet".
In vitro advantage: 100% free of unwanted organisms, safe for sensitive aquariums (e.g. shrimp).

Lighting: Moderate to bright (bright helps it grow lower and denser)
Temperature: 20–28 °C
pH: 6.0–7.5
GH: 3–8 °dGH
CO2: Recommended (20–30 mg/L) for better growth and rapid coverage
Substrate: Nutritious, fine-grained
Maintenance: Periodic mowing to keep it low and not to shade itself
Tip: If you are planting Eleocharis parvula in vitro, divide it into small tufts and plant them 2–3 cm apart. This will help the carpet to close faster and more evenly.
