Stoffels Hydrocotyle Leucocephala
Hydrocotyle leucocephala (also known as Brazilian Pennywort) is a particularly popular aquarium plant due to its easy cultivation and characteristic appearance with round leaves reminiscent of "umbrellas".
Care tips:
Very good for beginners, as it is hardy.
It can be placed as a surface plant, where it provides shade and safety for fish.
It grows rapidly, so it needs frequent pruning to prevent it from overwhelming the aquarium.
It is very easy to propagate: each piece of stem with leaves can be replanted.
In planted aquariums it is often used as a "fast plant" to absorb nitrates and stabilize the system.
